World Soil Day
At ASIS, World Soil Day was observed with great enthusiasm, curiosity, and meaningful learning as our learners explored the importance of soil and its vital role in sustaining life on Earth.
The session began with an interactive discussion on why soil matters, highlighting its contribution to agriculture, ecosystems, and human survival. Learners gained awareness about soil erosion, composting, and how healthy soil supports plants, animals, and humans alike. These discussions helped them understand the need to protect and conserve this precious natural resource.
To translate learning into action, learners participated in a hands-on eco-friendly activity by making seed bombs using soil, seeds, and natural materials. This engaging experience not only sparked creativity but also instilled a sense of environmental responsibility.
Through this activity, learners were empowered to play an active role in greening the planet and nurturing biodiversity, reinforcing the idea that even small actions can lead to meaningful change.
World Soil Day at ASIS was a powerful reminder that protecting the ground beneath our feet is essential for building a healthier and more sustainable future.
