Visit to the Gurudwara
As part of our cultural learning program and in celebration of Guru Nanak Jayanti,
the students of Bunts Sangha's Arathi Shetty International School visited the
Gurudwara at Dahisar East on 04th November 2025. The visit provided our young
learners with a meaningful opportunity to understand and appreciate the rich values
and traditions of Sikhism.
The students, accompanied by their teachers and support staff, reached the
Gurudwara at 10:00 a.m., where they were warmly welcomed by the Gurudwara
representatives. The serene and sacred environment offered a peaceful setting for
the children to experience Sikh practices and customs firsthand.
The visit began with an insightful explanation about Guru Nanak Dev Ji, his
teachings, and the significance of Guru Nanak Jayanti. Children learned about the
core principles of Sikhism, including equality, compassion, humility, and
community service.
Our students observed the prayer rituals and listened to the soulful recitation of
holy hymns, maintaining silence and showing respect throughout. They also
received Prasad as blessings, accepting it with gratitude and reverence.
This visit served as a wonderful learning experience, helping students develop
respect for diverse cultures and faiths while imbibing values of peace, unity, and
kindness. It was a truly enriching and memorable day that fostered cultural
awareness and strengthened the spirit of harmony among our young learners.
