Session on Cyber Security

Session on Cyber Security

Our learners from Grades 1 to 6 participated in an engaging and insightful Cyber Security Awareness Session, where they explored the importance of staying safe in today’s digital world and becoming responsible digital citizens.
The session featured our guest speaker, Nikhil Surve, a Robotics Engineer (2021) who completed his Master’s in Cybersecurity in 2025. Through relatable examples and practical insights, he helped learners understand how to make safe and smart choices while navigating the online world.
One of the highlights of the session was an interactive role-play activity, where learners explored real-life online situations and practiced making responsible decisions to stay cyber secure. This engaging approach encouraged them to think critically about their online behaviour and the impact of their digital actions.
The learning experience was thoughtfully designed as an integrated lesson, where our Computing & Digital Literacy (C&DL) teacher and Global Perspectives (GP) teacher collaborated to connect the concepts of technology with responsible global citizenship. This integration helped learners understand cyber safety not only as a technical skill but also as an important responsibility in today’s interconnected world.
Learners further reflected on their understanding by discussing the Dos and Don’ts of Cyber Security, identifying simple yet powerful steps they can follow to protect themselves online. It was truly a meaningful and enriching session filled with thoughtful discussions, active participation, and valuable takeaways for our young digital citizens. Through such initiatives, ASIS continues to empower learners to make smart, safe, and responsible choices online.
