A Workshop on Compassion by PETA
ASIS Primary, and Secondary students participated in a meaningful and eye-opening workshop conducted by Ms Minal Shah from PETA, focused on nurturing kindness, empathy, and compassion towards animals.
The highlight of the session was meeting Elle the Elephant, Asia’s first animatronic elephant, who touched young hearts by sharing her story. Through her gentle voice and powerful narrative, Elle helped students understand the realities of circus abuse and the importance of treating animals with dignity and respect.
By listening to Elle’s story, students learned to be one with animals, developing empathy for real elephants and a deeper awareness of animal welfare. The workshop left a lasting impact, encouraging learners to become responsible, compassionate individuals who stand up for those who cannot speak for themselves.
