Spreading Awareness on World Aids Day
At ASIS, we believe in nurturing compassionate minds and responsible global citizens. To mark World AIDS Day, a meaningful awareness session was conducted by our Primary Coordinator, Ms. Meera Shah, focusing on understanding, empathy, and the importance of maintaining good health and hygiene.
During the session, learners engaged in thoughtful discussions about how to care for our health, ways to stay safe and informed, and most importantly, how to show empathy and respect towards individuals living with illness. The children beautifully expressed their commitment to treating everyone with kindness, dignity, and understanding — breaking myths and building awareness.
As a symbol of hope and positivity, learners worked in pairs to write uplifting health messages on balloons, which were proudly displayed in the school, spreading a powerful reminder that positive words and supportive actions create real change.
The initiative encouraged students to become aware, sensitive, and proactive, reinforcing the message that together, we can build a world free from stigma and full of care.
Knowledge, empathy, and respect — that’s the ASIS way.
