Diwali Celebration
On 25th October 2024, Bunts Sangha’s Arathi Shetty International School celebrated Diwali with a memorable event filled with learning, sharing, and festive cheer. Children were encouraged to dress in comfortable yet festive attire, bringing the colorful spirit of Diwali into our classrooms. To foster a sense of sharing and community, students brought Diwali-themed sweets and snacks, without nuts, to share with their friends as a special Diwali treat. It was heartwarming to see the children eagerly exchange sweets, sharing joyful moments and laughter with one another.
As part of the celebration, we took the opportunity to educate students on the importance of an eco-friendly Diwali. Teachers discussed the impact of noise and air pollution caused by excessive firecrackers, emphasizing the importance of being mindful of our environment. Through stories and activities, students learned about the significance of reducing noise levels and preserving air quality for a healthier planet. The day concluded with a renewed understanding of Diwali’s essence—not only a festival of lights and joy but also an occasion to show care for our surroundings and community.

World animal day
On 4th October 2024, we celebrated World Animal Day with enthusiasm and curiosity through a lively Show and Tell activity. Each student chose an animal and dressed up to represent their favorite creature, creating a vibrant and diverse “animal kingdom” right in our classroom. The students confidently shared a few lines about their chosen animal, speaking about its unique characteristics, habitat, and interesting facts. This activity not only encouraged public speaking but also sparked discussions on animal diversity and environmental awareness.
We also expanded their learning by exploring the global habitats of animals, discussing how different animals thrive in various continents and climates. Through colorful maps and visuals, students learned that penguins live in Antarctica, kangaroos in Australia, and lions roam the African savannah, fostering an appreciation for the diversity of life around the world. This interactive celebration allowed the students to connect with nature and gain a deeper understanding of animal ecosystems and conservation.

World food day
We celebrated World Food Day with our students on 16th October 2024, a day dedicated to raising awareness about global food issues and promoting healthy eating habits. As part of the celebration, students were introduced to a variety of cuisines from around the world, allowing them to explore and appreciate the diversity in food culture.
In the classroom, students engaged in interactive discussions about the origins of different cuisines such as Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Indian, and many more. Teachers highlighted the importance of nutritious, balanced meals and how food can bring people together across cultures.
To further enrich the experience, students were given the opportunity to participate in a roleplay activity where they “collected” different foods of their choice and pretended to enjoy a meal.
